Across five consecutive days, starting 8 February, SMSF Adviser will be sending special bulletins dedicated to vital information, tips and traps accountants need to be aware of as they transition to the AFSL regime.
SMSF Adviser will be showcasing opinions and advice from licensing experts, as well as practitioners who have already made the transition for themselves and their business.
This initiative comes at a critical point for accountants looking to keep practising in the SMSF sector, with the accountants’ exemption expiring on 30 June and ASIC’s soft deadline for lodging licence applications being the end of March.
“Moving into a licensed environment is a big step for accountants, and there is a lot of misinformation in the market at the moment,” said SMSF Adviser’s associate publisher Terry Braithwaite.
“Licensing Week will help those accountants looking to make an informed licensing decision and position their practice for growth in the SMSF sector."
